The time relay ERV-08M is a universal delay relay designed for controlling delayed activation after power supply voltage is applied. It offers a wide time range from 0.1 seconds to 100 hours, universal power supply 12-230 V AC/DC, easy control, and DIN rail mounting.

Suitable for automation applications, for controlling fans, motors, lighting, contactors, and other devices requiring delayed activation.

Control and functions

LED indication

• ON (red) - the relay is powered

• OUT (green, constantly lit) - the output relay is energized (contact 2-3 is connected)

• OUT (green, flashing) - countdown in progress until switching

Time setting

The timer relay allows you to create an exact delay using two potentiometers:

1. Potentiometer "t" (0.1 to 10)
   - fine adjustment in % of the total range
   - 0.1 = 1%, 10 = 100%

2. Potentiometer "TS" - range selection:

   • A = 10 s

   • B = 100 s

   • C = 10 min

   • D = 100 min

   • E = 10 h

   • F = 100 h

The time change is activated at the next power-on.

Switching function

1) Delay of switching on - delayed switching (terminals 2-3, NO)

• When power is connected, the set time countdown begins

• After the time expires, the Out relay (RLY) is activated - contact 2-3 (NO → COM) is switched on

2) Delay of switching off via NC contact (terminals 2-1)

• Contact 2-1 (NC) is activated even without power

• When power is on, the countdown starts

• After the time expires, the contacts 1-2 are opened

Use of

The ERV-08M timer relay is used for applications where delayed switching is required after an event occurs:

• The fan turns on only after the light is turned on (toilet, bathroom)

• Lighting in a garage or corridor after the door is opened

• Gradual starting of motors

• Delayed switching of contactors

• Sequential switching of multiple circuits

• Delayed start of devices

The timing always starts when power is applied to the relay .
