Digital overcurrent relay with 3×3 digital LED display TRM-100

Three-phase current relay for controlling/limiting load current in the range of 40-100 A, manufacturer TENSE (Turkey)

The TRM-100 digital overcurrent relays are designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents while allowing operational control.

Device use and operating principle

1. Connect the device according to the wiring diagram.
2. When wiring is complete, apply power. After turning on the device, the set values are displayed for 5 seconds.
3. Use the "A>" controller to set the overcurrent value. The set value is displayed on the left display.
4. Use the "t" controller to set the delay time. The set value is also displayed on the left display.

When the device is on:
- The relay activates, the output contact switches to terminal 3, and the OUT indicator lights up.
- If the current exceeds the set overcurrent value (A>), the device starts counting the delay time and the ERR indicator lights up.
- After the time expires, the relay switches off, the contact switches to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator goes off.

Description

The electronic current relay from the TRM-100 series is designed for automatic disconnection of devices when the maximum allowable current is exceeded.
It allows setting the switching current, delay time, and re-engagement time.
There are three programs available for returning to "operational" mode - MANUAL, SEMI-automatic, and AUTOMATIC.

Recovery modes:

- Manual mode: After an overcurrent fault, the device must be reset by pressing the Reset button. In this mode, the corresponding LED lights up.
- Semi-automatic mode: The system automatically resets three times after an overcurrent fault, then waits for manual reset on the next fault. In this mode, the corresponding LED lights up.
- Automatic mode: The system resets automatically after each overcurrent fault. In this mode, the corresponding LED lights up.

Note: To change the mode, hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED indicator will light up.

Asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the highest and lowest phase current exceeds 50%, the device enters asymmetric fault mode within 2 seconds.
(This prevents system damage if one of the phases is lost during motor operation).

During asymmetric fault:
- The display group of the two phases that caused the fault will flash and the ERR indicator will light up.
- To exit fault mode, the device must be reset manually.

Note: TRM-50, TRM-100, TRM-200, and TRM-300 can only be used with the supplied current transformers.
TRM-400 can be used with the 400/5 current transformer supplied with the TRM-400.
